So, every country has their own words. Here are a sample of just some Argentine sayings and phrases. Some of them are common throughout Latin America and others are very Argentine. Enjoy!


"meter la mula” = to rip someone off

“ni a palos!” = no way

“que parte la tierra! = wow what a beautiful woman!

"mira vos" = wow

"viste" = you know

"che" = hey or dude 

"boludez" = something that is stupid

"buena or mala onda" = good or bad vibes

"tal cual" = yes exactly or I couldn't agree more

"quilombo" = a mess, often used to talk about the city 

"como andas?" = how are you? 

"re" = instead of muy, very or so
