Fotos, Fotos, Fotos

Happy Friday, everyone! Valeria, our assistant program director, just shared some pictures she's taken during the program. I thought I'd share some of them with you. She's gotten a lot of the good bigger group shots and has been able to take pictures in places, such as hospitals and schools, where we have been discouraged. Here are just a sample! They are not in order.

Our host school in Florencio Varela.

Clinic in Mendoza.

Early morning at the maternity ward.

Late night at the ER.

Ana Rita, our program director, talking with a doctor.

Some rest time at the top of the mountain in Tucuman.

Prepping to teach sex ed in Florencio (...including the back of my head)

Choripán. What people make for us at every clinic/hospital/village/city/pueblo we go to. Basically, sausages. Here, they are made on a little handcrafted grill.

Another group shot at a clinic in Tucuman.

Prepping to go out with the agentes in Mendoza.

Us with the medical students and our mentors in Mendoza.

A rough, early morning at the maternity ward.

Cheesing in Tucuman.

Group shot in Tucuman.

The ladies in Mendoza.

Class in Tucuman.

Way back to the beginning. Group bonding during the first day at the estancia.

Listening attentively and sharing photos of our family and friends during orientation (definitely a Mac-filled group!).

Valeria, our assistant program director, showing off her family.

Our communal meals at the Estancia (So weird to think in 10 days, we will be back there again for our closing!).

The first night in BA. Karaoke before we really knew each other.

The group making a circle with our program psychiatrist "to show the unity" of the group the day before classes began.

... Three months later, it's been quite the experience!
